A Healing Prayer for a Sick Friend

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your love for [name of the individual in need of healing]. I know you despise what their condition causes them/me to go through. In Jesus’ name, I beseech you to heal this disease, to be compassionate, and to provide healing from all sickness.

Psalm 107:19-20 promises that when we reach out to you, the Eternal One, you will give the order, cure, and rescue us from certain death. I’ve read about miraculous healing in the Bible, and I believe you still heal that way now. There is no ailment that you cannot cure, in my opinion. After all, the Bible mentions you reviving the dead, so I beg your forgiveness in this matter.

I also know from my experience on Earth that not everyone is healed, so please keep my heart warm towards you, help me grasp your plan, and make me excited about paradise.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being our only chance for recovery. If there are doctors or treatments you would like to use to heal this sickness, I ask that you direct [name of the individual in need of healing] to them. I pray for discernment and wisdom in deciding which therapy to pursue.

You are always trustworthy, all-powerful, and totally capable, Lord over every situation, no matter how tough it may appear, our healer, and you will never waste the agony we bear today.

Sovereign Lord, We thank You that You spoke into the darkness and created heaven and earth at the beginning.  All creation responds to Your voice, the winds move, and the mountains shake at Your command. How can we doubt that You are the Creator, the ruler of all?

Thank you for the life of my friend. Please open his eyes, Lord, that he may see Your presence, just like You opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant, and he saw the hills covered by horses and chariots of heavenly fire.

Help my friend see what l see when l look upon Your face, precious Lord, for You are worthy to be honored. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Almighty, We thank you for saving our lives. We give you thanks for your tremendous kindness and grace. We praise you for your faithfulness, despite the fact that we are not as faithful to you.

Lord Jesus, we beseech you to grant us complete peace of mind, body, soul, and spirit. We want you to heal and remove everything in our lives that is bringing tension, pain, and misery.

Please direct our way in life and make our enemies accept us. Let your peace prevail in our family, at work, in our enterprises, and in everything we touch. Allow your peace angels to go ahead of us when we walk out and stay by our sides when we return. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
